…Radiating distinctly Aussie vibes and that Aussie larrikin sentiment The Beefs have brought together for their Country Member EP and we’re bloody lapping it up.

With nods to Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel and Paul Kelly, the EP mixes thrashy garage and tongue-in-cheek lyricism masterfully, and there’s even a ballad that you can sway along to when you’re tired of moshing. It was produced by none other than Matt Corby who simply couldn’t help himself when he heard The Beefs during their embryonic stage.

“Basically I wrote these demos and showed them to Matt Corby and he fuckin’ loved it and said I wanna produce this stuff. We did an EP together and here we are,” Smith says of the collaboration. If ARIA Award-winning, platinum-selling artist Matt Corby backs it, it’s probably worthy of a spin…
